Holly has arrived! Puppy love abounds...

Which puppy will be ours?

  Yesterday the entire family loaded up in our suburban and traveled to Bakersfield California for a meeting with Heather Hale of Hale's Austrialian Labradoodles to select our puppy which we will be able to bring home in a few short weeks.  The pictures above are of the two finalist.  Heather will let us know which one is ours later today after all of the owners have visited the litter.  We will be pleased with either.  We loved them all.

What is proving to be more difficult is coming up with a name which all six of us agree on!

Our family is growing again....

We are getting a puppy for Christmas!

Sunday was a fun day... Carmel-by-the-Sea

It seems like it has been too long since we did a 1-day family vacation, so we did one yesterday by scheduling and executing our Carmel-by-the-Sea 1 day vacation complete with lunch, walk on the beach, visit to the shops, ice cream cone dessert.  The weather was unbelievable (80 degrees and Sunny).  The picture above is proof!

Pet for a day...

A friend needed us to look after a kitten for a day and our kids jumped at the chance of having a "real" pet (something other than a frog or fish).  Here is the little guy with Cailley.  After 24 hours the verdict was "kittens are nice but we want a dog".  Dad smiled. 

Labor of Love...

Did a few things this weekend that our kids love.  Attended Taylor Swift concert at HP Pavilion with Girls (Cailley and Corinne) and attended Giants Baseball game at AT&T park with Boys.

Summer is ending....

Overall the summer has been a great one.  

✓ - Spend time at the beach - Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara

✓ - Spend time swimming - TNT's, Dylan's Birthday Party

✓ - Spend time relaxing - Mt Hermon

✓ - Enjoy some Outside Events- Ashley's Wedding, Giants Games, Howard Jones

Mt Hermon - Again Amazing Vacation ....

We had another great experience at Mt Hermon family camp this year despite missing Drew (who was roughing it at YoungLife's Malibu Camp).  This year we did a few new things including sea kayaking and the multiple ropes courses, however the best part was being surrounded by friends, family and an amazing beauty place among the redwoods of California.  

Will post very shortly a video of Dylan (5.5) navigating the ropes course.  He was barely the right height and weight regardless he did a great job in conquering his fears and moving forward consistently.  Too cool.
